It has a gem-shaped screw down fluted winding crown with an IWC hallmarked Center, and a screw down solid case back engraved in high relief with "INTERNATIONAL WATCH CO. – EDITION SAINT EXUPERAY," the edition of 1149, and a center medallion with a portrait of Saint Exupery as a pilot. The 46mm diameter solid two-body case, curved lugs, and thin angled bezel, are polished/brushed. The dial is chocolate brown rhodium guilloche with luminous Arabic numeral and baton hour markers, with the pilot's upward triangle at 12 o'clock. It has steel alpha sword hands with luminous inserts, a center sweep second hand with an ovoid counter balance, and there is a luminous white perimeter 60-minute/second scale with Arabic numerals every five minutes.
