More about Master Compressor Chronograph 2 SS

This is a stainless- steel Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Chronograph II Q1758421. It includes an alligator leather strap with a stainless-steel deployment buckle and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. It has a screw-down crown and round chronograph pushbuttons with the patented JLC compression key system and a solid case back secured by four screws and engraved with a gold Master Compressor medallion in the center and "JAEGER-LECOULTRE – 10 ATM – SWISS MADE," and the 1000-hour Master Control stamp with a serial number. The solid 41.5mm diameter three-body case, angled convex bezel, and curved lugs, are polished/brushed. The dial is black with luminescent steel blunt Dauphine sword hour and minute hands, a red center sweep chronograph second hand, and luminous Arabic numerals at the half hours with dart-shaped markers with luminous fill. There is an outer track with white 1/4 second/minute divisions, and a perimeter raised tier black tachometer scale to 400 UPH. There are three recessed black subsidiary dials with white/black Arabic numerals, markers, and luminous white/red indicator hands, including a 30-minute chronograph totalizer at 3 o'clock, a small constant running seconds dial at 6 o'clock, and there is a 12-hour register on a steel rotating disc at 9 o'clock. The date aperture window is between 4 and 5 o'clock. It's water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet), it has a 65-hour power reserve, and the 14mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Chronograph II Q1758421 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Jaeger LeCoultre caliber 751 movement that's rhodium-plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment. It's constructed with 39 jewels, 277 components, and a shock absorber mechanism. It has a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at 28,800 vph (4 Hz). This Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Chronograph II Q1758421 was released in 2015 and relies on a butterfly collar around the pushers & crown that turn a 1/2 turn clockwise & counter-clockwise which compresses the gaskets to ensure water resistance. Each collar has arrows to indicate if the watch is currently water resistant. Jaeger LeCoultre named these "1,000 hours" because each timepiece undergoes a rigorous 1000 hours test before it's released for sale.
