More about Jaeger LeCoultre Q270.8.62 Reverso Grande Taille SS Manual Wind

This is a stainless steel Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso Grande Taille Q270.8.62. It has an alligator leather strap with a stainless steel deployment buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The 26mm by 42mm solid three-body art deco tonneau-shaped case, ridged bezel, solid reversible case back, and straight lugs are polished. The dial is silver with black transferred Arabic numeral hour markers, an outer minute railway-style track, and blued epee hands. There is a square subsidiary small constant seconds dial at the 6 o'clock position, and a polished reverse case back for personalized engraving. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and it has a 45-hour power reserve at full wind. The 9.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso Grande Taille Q270.8.62 has a mechanical manual winding Jaeger LeCoultre 822 movement that's rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with a single barrel, 21 jewels, 134 components, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to temperature and 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance-spring. The rotor oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz).

Jaeger-LeCoultre launched the radical Reverso design in 1931, which is distinguished by a sliding case in its base that neatly swivels around to exhibit another face.
