In 1931, Cesar de Trey and French designer Renee-Alfred Chauvot created the innovative art deco style Reverso watch, inspired by a challenge by polo players to construct a wristwatch that would resist the abuse of their active sport. In 1984 a completely new Reverso line emerged with enhanced pivots and water resistance.
