This is a titanium Laurent Ferrier Limited Edition Hodinkee Traveller. It has a navy-blue marbled alligator leather strap with a matching titanium tang buckle, and domed scratch resistant sapphire crystals. It includes a fluted onion-style pull out winding crown, and twin arched notched push buttons on the left-side case band at 8 and 10 o'clock for moving the hour hand ahead or back in 1-hour increments. There is an exhibition sapphire display case back with a flip-up clasp, and it's engraved with "LIMITED EDITION FOR HODINKEE," and an edition number out of the 15 examples. The 41mm diameter solid three-body case, gently curved and scalloped lugs, and convex bezel, are polished. The center of the dial is deep blue enamel surrounded by white gold sector inlay and a satin brushed slate blue outer ring that incorporates a home-time arched aperture window at the 9 o'clock position. Around the perimeter is a luminous white railway-style 60-minute scale with Arabic numerals every 5 minutes, and it has polished white gold assegai-shaped hands for the GMT second time zone. It has a 72-hour power reserve at full winding, it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 10mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Laurent Ferrier Limited Edition Hodinkee Traveller has a mechanical automatic self-winding in-house micro-rotor Caliber LF 230.02 movement with a double impulse lubricant-free natural escapement. It's satin/brushed finished in anthracite grey with a galvanic ruthenium treatment, and it's constructed with 41 jewels, 278 components, a pawl-fitted unidirectional winding "silent block" anti-shock system, and a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 6 positions. It includes an off-center 22K gold micro-rotor fixed between the main plate and bridge, with a barleycorn guilloche pattern. There is a self-lubricating silicon pallet-lever, and phosphorous nickel alloy escape-wheels made according to LIGA technology. The accuracy of the chronometer is certified by the Besancon Observatory in France, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz). The Laurent Ferrier Limited Edition Hodinkee Traveller was released in 2017 and limited to only 15 examples. The natural escapement was originally invented by Abraham-Louis Breguet in the early 19th century. Hodinkee had the date and running small constant seconds subsidiary dial removed for a completely simplified traveling GMT time piece.
