This is an 18k white gold MB&F Legacy Machine 51W.WL.W. It includes an 18K white gold case and a white gold folding deployment clasp with anti-reflective scratch resistant sapphire crystals (high domed over the dial). It has a pull-out winding crown at the 4 o’clock position and an exhibition sapphire display crystal case back secured with 8 screws and it’s engraved with “Au750,” and a serial number. The 40mm diameter two-body case, curved lugs, and flat angled bezel, are polished/brushed. The minimalist dial is 3-dimensional grey Arabic wave guilloche with an inner white gold perimeter ring, twin arched spokes, a double hairspring, and an off-center white circular time dial at 2 o’clock with black Roman numeral hour markers, an outer pip minute scale, and blued feuille hands with an arrow-tipped hour hand. There is a smaller circular white power reserve subsidiary dial with black Arabic numerals and a blued feuille leaf-shaped indicator hand. It’s marked “LEGACY MACHINE” white script. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, it has a 45-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 16mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This MB&F Legacy Machine 51W.WL has a manual winding in-house MB&F caliber LM101 movement (the first in-house MB&F mechanism) that’s three-dimensional with rhodium plating and Cotes de Geneve embellishment. The plates and bridges were designed by Kari Voutilainen. It’s constructed with 23 jewels, bespoke flying 14mm balance wheel with 4 regulating screws floating above the movement and dials. It includes 229 components, a traditional Breguet curve balance spring with a mobile stud holder, gold chatons, polished countersinks, a single mainspring barrel, and the movement oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5hz). The MB&F Legacy Machine 51W.WL was released in the 2000’s in a limited edition of 18k white and rose gold metals and 33 examples in 950 platinum, with finishing and specification by Kari Voutilainen, signed on the case back.
