More about Omega Globemaster Co-Axial Master Chronometer
This is a stainless steel Omega Globemaster Co-Axial Master Constellation Chronometer 130.33.39.21.02.001. It has an alligator leather strap with double folding push button deployment buckle, and scratch resistant sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coatings on both sides. There is a pull out winding crown, and an exhibition sapphire display screw down case back secured with 4 screws, with a center medallion with Omega's Constellation emblem, an image of an observatory surrounded by a polished sky marked with eight symbolic stars, and it's engraved with "CONSTELLATION-STAINLESS STEEL," and a hallmark. It's anti-magnetic and resistant to magnetic fields greater than 15,000 gauss, and it's a Certified Master Chronometer with a rating approved by METAS (Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology - more stringent than COSC ratings). The 39mm diameter solid two-body case, straight lugs, and fluted hard metal fixed scratchproof Tungsten Carbide bezel, are polished/brushed. It has an opaline silver "pie pan" dial (reminiscent of the first 1952 Omega Constellation model) with applied faceted baton hour markers and black pointed baton hands with luminous SuperLumiNova inserts, a center sweep second hand, and there is a perimeter black minute/second scale. A date aperture window is at the 6 o'clock position. It has a 60-hour power reserve at full wind, and it's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet. The 13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Omega Globemaster Co-Axial Master Constellation Chronometer 130.33.39.21.02.001 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Omega caliber 8900 movement with a co-axial escapement. It includes a special luxury finish with a rhodium-plated rotor and bridges with Geneva waves in arabesque. It has a free-sprung monometallic balance with an Omega Si14 silicon balance spring, a Nivashoc anti-shock device, two barrels mounted in series, and automatic winding in both directions. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The Omega Globemaster Co-Axial Master Constellation Chronometer 130.33.39.21.02.001 was introduced in 2015 at the Baselworld exhibition.
