More about Speedmaster 57 Co-Axial SS Blue Dial

This is a stainless steel Omega Speedmaster '57 Co-Axial Chronograph 331.10.42.51.03.001. It includes an integral Omega stainless steel bracelet with a deployant clasp, and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both surfaces. The two round chronograph pushbuttons function independently and are at 2 and 4 o'clock. It has a sapphire crystal display case back. The 41.5mm diameter solid three-body case is polished and brushed, and the dial is blue PVD ceramic with luminescent epee hands and baton hour index markers. There is a tachymeter engraved around the bezel, and an outer ring with seconds/minutes for the red sweep-center chronograph hand. The date aperture window is at 6 o'clock, the combination 60-minute/12-hour sub dial is at 3 o'clock (giving this watch 2 dials rather than the customary 3) and the small seconds sub-dial is at 9 o’clock. It's water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet), and there is a 60-hour power reserve at full wind. The 16.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Omega Speedmaster '57 Co-Axial Chronograph 331.10.42.51.03.001 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Omega Co Axial Caliber 9300 chronograph movement. It's rhodium-plated with their distinctive Geneva wave arabesque embellishment. It has a column wheel mechanism and Omega's Co-Axial escapement for the enhanced stability, precision, and durability of the movement. There is a patented anti-magnet Silicon balance-spring on a free sprung balance, and two barrels mounted in series. It includes bi-directional automatic winding for increased efficiency. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz). This Omega Speedmaster '57 Co-Axial Chronograph 331.10.42.51.03.001 was introduced in the 2000's. The Speedmaster ’57 OMEGA Co-Axial Chronograph celebrates its legendary ancestor from 1957 and the dawn of the space race. It's a legendary explorer's watch and was carried on all six lunar missions. The caliber 9300 is the first chronograph of Omega's in-house Co-Axial mechanical movements.
