More about Luminor Submersible Stainless PAM243

This is a stainless steel Panerai Luminor Submersible, PAM00243. It has a rubber strap with a stainless steel tang buckle, and an anti-reflective scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It includes an alternative nylon strap. It has patented winding crown with security lever that allows use of the crown underwater, a helium escape valve on the case at the 9 o'clock position, and a screw-down solid engraved case back. The 44mm by 44mm cushion-shaped three-body case, downturned lugs, and knurled flat graduated unidirectional revolving bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is black with luminova steel skeleton hands, luminova dot hour markers, and Arabic numerals at 6 and 12 o'clock. There is a date aperture window underneath a magnifying cyclops lens at 3 o'clock, and a constant seconds subsidiary dial at 9 o'clock. It includes a Certified Official Swiss Chronometer (COSC) rating. It has a power reserve of 42-hours, and it's water resistant to 1000 meters/3300 feet. The 15mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The automatic self-winding Panerai caliber OP III movement is rhodium-plated, with oeil de-perdrix and distinctive Panerai embellishment. It's constructed with 21 jewels, an Incabloc shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes Cotes de Geneve decoration on the bridges, and a Panerai personalized oscillating weight. It has a monometallic Glucydur balance that's adjusted for temperature and 5 positions, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a micrometer regulator. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). This watch was produced in a limited edition of 500 pieces between 2000 and 2009.
