More about Luminor 1950 3 Day GMT Power Reserve

This is a stainless steel Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Day GMT Power Reserve, PAM00321. It has a rubber strap with a stainless steel tang buckle with the PANERAI logo, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The 44mm diameter solid Incabloc three-body case, downturned lugs, and exhibition sapphire display case back are polished/brushed. The winding crown is protected by the patented Panerai security lever, which allows the watch to remain watertight. The dial is black "sandwich," with luminous Arabic numerals at three of the quarter hours, and baton index markers. It has luminous baton hands and a hemispherical 72-hour power reserve indicator at the 5 o'clock position. There is an aperture widow for the date at 3 o'clock, and a constant small seconds subsidiary dial at 9. It has an independent adjustable luminous 12-hour arrow tipped hand for the second time zone. It's water resistant to 300 meters/1000 feet. The 16mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding Panerai caliber P.9001 movement is rhodium-plated. It's constructed with 29 jewels, 236 components, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted for temperature and 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The case is named the 1950 case, which is a cushion case formed from a solid block of brushed stainless steel.
