This is an 18K yellow gold vintage c. 1964 Patek Philippe Calatrava, reference 1578. It has an alligator leather strap with an 18K yellow gold Patek tang buckle, an acrylic crystal, and a solid case back. The 35mm diameter solid two-body case, fancy lugs, and flat angled bezel are polished. The dial is matte silver with applied faceted gold baton hour markers, and gold dauphine hands. There is an outside dot minute ring, and a small seconds subsidiary dial is at the 6 o'clock position. The 8.5mm thick case, dial and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe Calatrava, reference 1578, has a mechanical manual winding Patek Philippe caliber 27 AM 400 movement. It's rhodium plated, with "fausses-côtes" embellishment. It's constructed with 18 jewels, and anti-shock mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a Gyromax balance that's adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, and a self-compensating Breguet balance-spring.
