This is a vintage 18k yellow gold 1953 Patek Philippe Vintage "Flame Lug" Calatrava 2431". It has an alligator leather strap with an 18K yellow gold tang buckle, and an acrylic crystal. It includes a pull out fluted winding crown, and a solid polished case back. The 34mm diameter solid two-body case, "flame" shaped curved lugs with stepped flame design bezel, are polished. It has a silver dial with yellow gold applied dart hour makers, pips at 3 and 9 o'clock, and there is an applied gold Arabic numeral at 12 o'clock, surrounded by a perimeter black minute scale. It includes thin gold baton hands, and there is subsidiary dial for the constant running seconds at 6 o'clock, with black markers and a thin gold indicator hand. The 9.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Patek Philippe Vintage "Flame Lug" Calatrava 2431" has a mechanical manual winding Patek Philippe caliber 12-400 movement. It's rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment, it's stamped with the quality seal of Geneva, and it's constructed with 18 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a cut bimetallic compensation balance. It includes a self-compensating Breguet balance spring, a monometallic balance adjusted for temperature and 5 positions,and a swan-neck micrometer regulator. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 19,800 vph (2.5 Hz).
