This is a vintage c. 1970's 18K rose gold Patek Philippe Calatrava 2568. It has an alligator leather strap with a rose gold tang buckle, and an acrylic crystal. It has a pull out signed winding crown, and a snap down solid case back stamped inside with "PATEK PHILIPPE & CO – GENEVE – SWISS – 2568-1," hallmarks, and a serial number. The 33mm diameter solid two-body case, curved faceted retro-looking sharp lugs, and flat angled bezel, are polished. The original curved silver dial is stamped by the renowned Milanese retailer Gobbi & Milano. It includes applied curved rose gold baton hour markers, thin pointed gold stick baton hands, and there is a silver subsidiary running small constant seconds dial with black markers and a gold indicator hand. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 8.7mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe Calatrava 2568 has a mechanical manual winding Patek Philippe caliber 10-200 movement. It's nickel finished with fausses cotes embellishment, and it's stamped with the Geneva quality hallmark. It's constructed with18 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic Gyromax balance adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions. It includes a shock-absorber, a self-compensating Breget balance-spring, a swan neck micrometer regulator, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 19,800 vph (2.75 Hz). The Patek Philippe Calatrava 2568 was introduced in the 1950's.
