More about Perpetual Calendar White Gold RARE PATINA
This is a rare 18K white gold Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar 3940G. It has an alligator leather strap with an 18K Patek Philippe white gold deployment buckle with a Calatrava emblem release, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. There is a snap-on exhibition sapphire display case back, with a pull out winding crown. The 36mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned lugs, and cupped bezel are polished. The silver dial has white gold hands and hour markers. The month and leap year are displayed on a sub dial at 3 o’clock. The date and moon phase sub dial is at 6 o’clock, with the day and 24-hour time indicator is at 9 o'clock. It has a 46-hour power reserve at full wind, and it’s water resistant to 25 meters/80 feet. The 9mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar 3940G has a mechanical automatic self-winding Patek Philippe caliber 240-114 movement that's rhodium-plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It has the Seal of Geneva quality seal, as well as the Patek Philippe stamp. It's constructed with 27 jewels, 275 parts, and a lateral lever escapement with three arms under a polished steel bridge. It has a 22K winding rotor with the Patek Philipppe Calatrava symbol, and a patented Patek Philippe Gyromax balance that adjusts for cold, heat, isochronism and 5 positions. It includes a shock absorber mechanism, and a self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring. Patek Philippe made the very first perpetual calendar wristwatch in 1925. It self-adjusts for the months that have only 28 or 30 days, and for leap years. This Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar 3940G was introduced in 1985 and was discontinued in 2006.
