This is a platinum Patek Philippe Advanced Research Annual Calendar 5450P. The leather strap has a platinum double-folding deployment clasp, and scratch resistant sapphire crystals. It has a salmon color dial and applied charcoal Arabic numeral hour markers and baton indexes with luminous white end pips. It includes charcoal feuille leaf hands with luminous inserts, a center sweep seconds hand, and a perimeter railway-style minute/seconds scale. It has a moon phase sub dial and a date aperture window at 6 o'clock, and there are two salmon subsidiary dials with black Arabic letters, including a day marker at 9 o'clock, and the month at 3 o'clock. There is a plus-minus power reserve of 45 hours at 12 o'clock. The 39mm solid two-body case is polished, with a display screw-down case back including a cyclops-magnifying lens over the escape and balance wheels. It has a stepped, rounded bezel, and curved lugs. The back crystal is inscribed: "Patek Philippe Advanced Research." It's water resistant to 25 meters/70 feet, and the 11.2mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Patek Philippe Advanced Research Annual Calendar 5450P has a mechanical automatic self-winding Patek Philippe caliber 324 S IRM QA LU movement that's rhodium-plated with fausses cotes decoration and the stamp of the Patek Philippe quality mark. It's built with 36 jewels, 355 parts, and it oscillates at 28,800 vibrations per hour. It has a 21K gold rotor with zirconium ball bearings, a silicon escape wheel, a self-compensating Silinvar Spiromax balance spring, and a straight-line lever escapement. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).

The Patek Philippe Advanced Research Annual Calendar 5450P was previewed at the Basel watch show in 2006 and went into production of only 300 pieces beginning in 2007.
