This is a stainless steel/18K yellow gold Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 116503. It has an integral stainless steel and 18k yellow gold Oyster bracelet, a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, and round screw down chronograph pushbuttons. The screw-lock Triplock winding crown is fully protected by the crown guard, and the 40mm diameter solid three-body case, screwed down solid case back, Oyster bracelet and gold crowns are polished/brushed. The dial is white with luminescent gold baton hour and minute hands, applied Arabic numeral hour index markers at the quarter-hours, and 8 fine white diamond hour indices set into gold chatons at the factory. There is a center sweep chronograph second hand and an outer minute track with a black tachometer graduation on the gold bezel to 400 units per hour. It has the compax-style three round black/gold ringed subsidiary dials including one for the small seconds at the 6 o'clock position, a 12-hour chronograph totalizer at 9 o'clock, and there is a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o'clock. It's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, it has a 70-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 116503 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 4130 movement introduced in 2000. It's rhodium-plated, with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment, and it's constructed with 44 jewels, 289 components, a shock absorber system, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, a self-compensating free sprung Breguet balance spring, and Microstella regulating screws. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 mph (4 Hz). The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 116503 was in introduced in the 2010's. It was originally released in 1963 - the chronograph that was a professional instrument for endurance racing drivers, with a tachymetric scale for measuring average speed on the bezel, and a cluster of subsidiary dials that were reminiscent of a Ferrari dashboard.
