More about Datejust Turn O Graph SS / 14K Yellow Gold c. 1969

This is a vintage late 1969 18k yellow gold and stainless-steel vintage Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph 1625. It includes an integral stainless-steel jubliee bracelet with 18K yellow gold center links, a double deployment clasp, and an acrylic crystal. There is a screw-down solid polished case back, a signed screw-down winding crown, and a solid screw Ma down case back. The 36mm diameter solid three-body case, integral straight lugs, bracelet, and yellow gold revolving reeded and graduated bezel are polished. The flat unidirectional bezel has raised Arabic numeral minute markers every 10-minutes at the even hours and raised baton indices at the odd positions. The dial is silver sunray with applied faceted gold baton hour markers and luminous Tritium end pips around a perimeter black minute/seconds track. It has gold baton hands with Tritium inserts, and a center sweep seconds hand with a wedge-shaped counterbalance. There is a non-quickset date aperture at the 3 o'clock position underneath a Cyclops magnification bubble. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 11.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph, 1625, has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 1570 movement that's rhodium plated, with "oeil-de-perdrix" embellishment. It's constructed with 26 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, a self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance-spring, Microstella regulating screws, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5Hz). The first appearance of the Oyster Perpetual Datejust Turn-O-Graph was at Basel World in 1953. This Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph 1625 was introduced in 1959 and was produced until 1977.
