More about Submariner SS Black Dial Circa 2000 BOX & PAPERS

This is a stainless steel Rolex Submariner Oyster Perpetual Date 16610. It has an integral stainless steel deployant oyster bracelet, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops magnifying bubble over the date window at 3 o'clock. It has a screw-down, Triplock winding crown protected by a crown guard, and a graduated, unidirectional, rotating black bezel for measuring decompression times. The 40mm solid three-body case, solid screwed-down case back, reeded bezel, and bracelet are polished/brushed. The dial is black with luminescent steel dots and baton hour markers, luminous steel skeleton hands, and a center sweep seconds hand. The triangle at 12 o'clock is used for aligning the bezel, and it has outer minute/second indexes. It's water resistant to 300 meters/1,000 feet. The 13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This automatic calibre 3135 movement is rhodium-plated with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment. It's constructed with 31 jewels and a straight-line lever escapement. It has a monometallic balance that adjusts for cold, heat, and 5 positions. It also has a shock absorber mechanism, a self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring, Microstella regulating screws, and a hack mechanism. It's an officially certified Superlative Chronometer (COSC). The case, dial, and movement are all signed.
