It has a signed screw-down Twinlock winding crown and a solid screw down case back. The 36mm diameter solid monobloc case, gently curved lugs, bracelet, and fluted fixed bezel are polished/brushed. It has a champagne gold dial with applied faceted baton hour markers, luminous gold baton hands, and a center sweep second hand with a railway-style perimeter black minute/second scale. It includes a cyclops magnification lens over the date aperture window at 3 o’clock. It has a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) rating and it’s water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet. It has a 70-hour power reserve at full winding, and the case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex President Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 128238 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 3255 (based on the Rolex caliber 3035) movement. It's rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment and it's constructed with 31 jewels, a "Chronergy" lever escapement that optimizes energy efficiency, and it's made of nickel phosphorus which is insensitive to magnetic interference. It includes bidirectional self-winding through the perpetual rotor, a Parachrom blue balance spring with an overcoil, and an amagnetic oscillator system. The Chronergy escape wheel is skeletonized to reduce any energy loss due to inertia. It has a free-sprung adjustable mass balance, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The Rolex President Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 128238 is an updated version introduced in BaselWorld in 2019.
