This is a c.1997 stainless-steel Rolex GMT Master "SWISS only" black dial 16700. It includes a stainless-steel oyster link bracelet with a folding deployment clasp and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a screw down signed Triplock winding crown and a solid screw down case back. The 40mm diameter Oyster-shaped solid monobloc case. The 40mm diameter solid monobloc case is polished and brushed, with a black aluminum graduated and knurled bi-directional bezel, a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, a protected Oyster Triplock winding crown, and a screw-down back. The bezel measures a second 24-hour time zone with a red 24-hour hand. The dial is black with luminous tritium baton, round, and triangular hour index markers, and luminous steel Rolex "Mercedes" style hour and minute hands. The date aperture is at 3 o'clock and is magnified with a Cyclops lens bubble. It is water resistant to 100 meters/ 330 feet, it has a 48-hour power reserve at full winding, and it's a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC). The 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This stainless-steel Rolex GMT Master "SWISS only" black dial 16700 has a mechanical automatic Rolex caliber 3175 (based on the Rolex caliber 3135) movement. It's rhodium plated and it's constructed with has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 3135 movement that's rhodium plated with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment. It's constructed with 31 jewels and a shock absorber system. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, a self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring, and Microstella regulating screws. It includes a central hacking seconds device for precision time setting, and the movement oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz). The Rolex GMT Master "SWISS only" black dial 16700 was introduced in the 1990's; the original GMT-Master debuted in 1955.
