This is a vintage 1961/62 stainless-steel Rolex GMT Master Gilt Chapter Ring with "exclamation" at 6 o'clock 1675. It includes an integral stainless-steel 7206 Oyster link bracelet with 58 end links with a folding deployment clasp, and an acrylic crystal with a Cyclops magnifying bubble over the date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position. There is a protected screw-down Twinlock winding crown with pointed crown guards and a solid pressure-fit case back stamped inside with "MONTRES ROLEX S.A. – GENEVA – SWITZERLAND – PATENTED – STAINLESS STEEL – 1675." The 40mm diameter solid monobloc Oyster case, bracelet, gently curved lugs, and flat knurled bi-directional rotating bezel, are satin with age. The "Fat Font Pepsi" red and blue bezel has an even beautiful fade with a sharp Arabic numeral GMT 24-hour scale. It has the original black dial with gilt chapter ring, luminous dot, baton and triangle hour markers, with the "exclamation" baton index and hour pip at 6 o'clock. It includes luminous Rolex "Mercedes-style" hands, all with evenly aged Tritium lume. There is a central red hand with a luminous arrow tip for the second time zone, and a sweep center seconds hand with a tritium "lollipop" indicator. It's a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC), it has a 48-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 12.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust 1675 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 1560 (1650) movement. It's rhodium plated, and it's constructed with 25 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a KIF shock absorber system. It has a self-compensating flat balance spring, It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to temperature and five positions, and Microstella regulating screws. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5Hz). The Rolex GMT Master 1675 was originally introduced in 1954, upon the request of Pan American Airlines for their pilots. On the "Pepsi" bezel, red signifies a.m., and blue means p.m.
