This is a vintage c. 1979 18K yellow gold Rolex GMT Master Oyster Perpetual Date, 1675. It has an integral 18K yellow gold Jubilee bracelet with a double deployment clasp, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops magnification bubble over the date aperture window at 3 o'clock. It includes a screw-down signed winding crown with crown guards and the patented Rolex triple waterproofness system and a solid screw down case back inside of which is engraved "MONTRES ROLEX SA – GENEVA – SWITZERLAND – PATENTED – 1675," and hallmarks. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, 18K yellow gold knurled bi-directional rotating 24-hour GMT bezel, integral lugs, and bracelet are polished/brushed. It has a black dial with raised luminous "nipple" dot, baton, and triangular hour markers, luminous skeleton "Mercedes" style Rolex hands, and a center sweep hand with a luminous "lollipop" indicator, all with aged Tritium lume. There is a central GMT gold hand with a luminous arrow tip for the second time zone, and a perimeter gold minute/second division track. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet and the 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex GMT Master 1675 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 1575 movement. It's rhodium-plated, with a KIF shock absorber system, and it's constructed with 25 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a free-sprung monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. It includes a self-compensating Breguet balance spring, and Microstella regulating screws. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz). The Rolex GMT Master 1675 was introduced in the 1970's.
