Rolex 1675 GMT Master Gilt Dial, This watch was worn during active military service in Vietnam by the original owner - a major in the US Army, stainless steel case is in excellent condition and still shows traces of the original bevels, on a stainless steel rivet Oyster bracelet (stamped 4/65), automatic Rolex caliber 1575, second-time zone with bi-directional 24-hour bezel, big font insert has faded with the bottom red half taking on a "ghost bezel" appearance, small triangle 24-hour hand, original gilt glossy dial with tritum lume is in very nice condition and has developed a slight tropical patina, 103xxxx serial number (circa 1964), diameter: 40mm, thickness: 12.5mm. Excellent Original Condition. This watch includes provenance from the original owner including service papers and the mailing box from April of 1968, along with information about his military service and his unit.

This is a vintage c. 1964 Vietnam-duty Rolex GMT Master Gilt Dial 1675. It includes a stainless-steel rivet Oyster link bracelet (stamped 4/65) with a folding deployment clasp and an acrylic crystal. It includes a screw down Twinlock winding crown with crown guards and a solid snap down case back stamped inside with "MONTRES ROLEX S.A. – GENEVEA – SWITZERLAND – PATENTED – STAINLESS STEEL – 1675," and serial numbers. The 40mm diameter solid monobloc case with traces of the original bevels, gently curved lugs, bracelet, and flat knurled bidirectional 24-hour GMT second time zone bezel, are brushed/satin. The blue and silver aluminum bezel has a big font insert in the once red bottom half that now takes on a "ghost bezel" appearance. The original gilt black glossy dial has evenly aged tritium lume which has developed a slight tropical patina. There is a gilt perimeter minute/second scale with circular, rectangular, and triangular hour markers and it includes "Mercedes" Rolex minute and hour hands with luminous fill. It has a center sweep "lollipop" indicator hand and there is a red fourth GMT indicator hand with a luminous arrow tip. It's water resistant to 50 meters/165 feet, and the 12.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Vietnam-duty Rolex GMT Master Gilt Dial 1675 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 1560 movement. It's rhodium-plated, with a KIF shock absorber system, and it's constructed with 26 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a free-sprung monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. It includes a self-compensating Breguet balance spring, and Microstella regulating screws. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz). The Rolex GMT Master Gilt Dial 1675 was introduced in 1959. This watch was worn during active military service in Vietnam by the original owner - a major in the US Army and papers of provenance and service papers are included.
