This is a vintage c. 1987 18K yellow gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 18038. It has an 18k yellow gold Oyster link bracelet with a double folding deployment clasp, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a screw down Triplock winding crown, and a screw down solid case back. The 36mm diameter solid three body case, fluted bezel, and bracelet are polished/brushed. There is a quick-set date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position underneath a Cyclops magnifier bubble, and an arched indicator at 12 o'clock for the completely spelled day of the week in English. The dial is Champagne gold with applied yellow gold faceted baton hour index markers, luminous dots, and an outer minute/seconds track. It has a central sweep seconds hand, and luminous gold minute and hour hands. It includes the Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) certificate. The 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 18038 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 3055 movement. It's rhodium-plated and it's constructed with 27 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, an anti-shock device, and a Glucydor monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. It includes a self-compensating Breguet balance spring, Microstella regulating screws, and a hacking seconds mechanism for precision time setting.
