More about Rolex 4017 Cellini "King Midas" Manual Wind White Gold TOP CONDITION

This is an 18K white gold Rolex Cellini "King Midas" 4017. It's left-handed with the pull out winding crown at 9 o'clock on the left side case band. It has the original lizard strap with a stainless steel Rolex tang buckle, and apparently it's only been worn a few times as the original Rolex case back sticker is still on the back. On the inside of the case back is 'MONTRES ROLEX S.A. – GENEVA SWITZERLAND," three hallmarks, and a serial number. The 28mm square solid two-body case, straight hooded lugs, and flat bezel are brushed. The dial is silver with applied faceted white gold stick baton hour indices, and polished white gold baton hour and minute hands. It's water resistant to 25 meters/80 feet, and the 5mm thick case, dial and movement are all signed.

This Rolex Cellini "King Midas" 4017 has a mechanical manual winding Rolex caliber 1601 movement. It's rhodium plated with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, and an anti-shock system. It's constructed with 19 jewels, a non-metallic balance, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 19,800 vph (2.75 Hz).

Rolex Cellini "King Midas" 4017 was introduced in the 1970's.
