More about Rolex 50535 Rolex Cellini Moonphase 535 18K Rose Gold

This is an 18K rose gold Rolex Cellini Moon phase 50535. It has an alligator leather strap with a rose gold (Everose, which is the Rolex 18K gold alloy) folding deployment buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a flared screw down gold winding crown with the Rolex crown emblem, and there is a solid screw down case back. The solid 39mm three-body case, gently curved lugs, and double-domed and fluted bidirectional rotating bezel, are polished. The dial is white lacquer with a blue enameled disc with two gold rings at 6 o’clock showing the full moon (depicted by a detailed meteorite disc) and the new moon with a thin silver ring. There is a chapter ring with black Arabic numerals every 5-minutes that split through the hour markers. A gold arrow indicates the age of the moon at 12 o’clock on the subsidiary dial, while the full moon and new moon rotate through the lunar cycle. The disc rotates once every 29.5 days; correcting the age of the moon is done via a recessed pusher at 8 on the left-side case band. The patented moon phase module is astronomically accurate for 122 years. It includes applied faceted rose gold baton hour markers, faceted Everose gold sword hands, and a gold center sweep seconds hand. The Cellini Moon phase also displays the date around the circumference of the dial with a blue center hand with a crescent indicator tip. Around the perimeter is a black Arabic numeral radial date chapter ring. It includes a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) rating, and there is a 48-hour power reserve at full winding. It's water resistant to 50 meters/165 feet, and the 12.4mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Rolex Cellini Moon phase 50535 has a mechanical automatic bidirectional self-winding Rolex caliber 3195 movement via the perpetual rotor. It's rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment, including a colimaconnage patterning on the beveled-edge bridges. It's constructed with 31 jewels, a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring, Microstella adjustment screws, Paraflex shock absorbers, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).

The Rolex Cellini Moon phase 50535 was introduced in 2017 at BaselWorld.
