Universal Geneve 881101/03 Exotic Slate Dial Tri Compax, 881101 03, 88110103, undoubtedly the best Universal Geneve "exotic" Tri Compax we have ever had, an extremely rare reference that is the exotic "Paul Newman" of the Universal Geneve lines, the stainless steel case is in excellent condition with lugs that are full and thick, original Gay Freres x Universal Geneve Beads of Rice bracelet stamped 2 / 1966, caliber 281 movement with day, date and month indicator (english calendar), moonphase, chronograph, original slate dial is in perfect original condition with nicely aged markers, tritium on the dial and hands are original and are very bright and clean, overall the dial is exceptionally clean and charming, black bezel insert is in excellent condition, the case back engravings are clear with serial number 2'684XXX and model number 881101/03 visible, diameter: 36mm, thickness: 12mm. An outstanding example of the Universal Geneve Tri-Compax 881101 and an important watch for any discerning vintage collector.
