This is a stainless steel and titanium Ulysse Nardin Blue Max 263-58-3LE. It includes a a composite rubber strap with a titanium triple folding deployment buckle, and scratch resistant sapphire crystals. It has a screw down signed winding crown with a screwed gold plate on the left-side case band with an edition number, and there is an exhibition sapphire crystal display case back secured with 6 screws engraved with "ULYSSE NARDIN – 300 METERS – MARINE CHRONOMETER – LIMITED EDITION." The 40mm diameter round solid three-body case, curved lugs, and flat angled bezel, are polished. The knurled unidirectional rotating bezel has a high relief Arabesque wave pattern with elapsed dive time Arabic numeral every 10 minutes and baton minute indices, and a row of 15 steel pips to the 10-minute position and a dive triangle with a luminous pip at the 60-minute mark. The dial is blue "golf ball" patter guilloche with applied trapezoidal luminous hour markers and a luminous dive triangle around an angled perimeter rehaut with a luminous white minute scale. It includes blued skeletonized fat tapered baton hour and minute hands with luminous tips, and there are two differently sized circular subsidiary dials with luminous white railroad-style scales, and Arabic numerals, including a large recessed constant small seconds register at 6 o'clock with a circular date aperture, a polished steel indicator hand, and "1846" in orange, and there is a smaller raised circular down-up power reserve dial at 12 o'clock with an orange sword indicator hand. The Ulysse Nardin signature at 3 o'clock has an applied polished steel anchor emblem. It has a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) rating, and a 42-hour power reserve at full winding. It's water resistant to 300 meters/1000 feet, and the 13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Ulysse Nardin Blue Max 263-58-3LE has a mechanical automatic self-winding Ulysse Nardin caliber UN26 (based on a modified ETA caliber 2892-A2) movement. The plates, bridges, and rotor are all blued with a special heat-treating process with Cotes de Geneve and oeil de perdrix embellishment, and it's constructed with 28 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a hacking seconds mechanism for precision time setting. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The Ulysse Nardin Blue Max 263-58-3LE was produced in 2003 in a limited edition to 999 examples.
