More about Master Compressor Memovox Rose Gold

This is an 18K rose gold Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor Memovox, 146.2.97. It has a leather strap with a matching 18K rose gold deployant buckle. It has a polished 41.5mm diameter solid three-body case, angled lugs, and a bi-directional rotating dive-time ring inside the bezel (underneath the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal) operated by the crown at 10 o'clock. The solid case back has the engraved master compressor globe. The crown at the two o'clock position is the compressor key that operates the alarm function, and the time-setting and winding crown is at 4. It has a central sweep second hand with a red arrow tip, and luminous steel alpha hands. The dial is dark grey with luminous white Arabic numeral hour markers at 12, 3, 6, and 9, as well as dart markers. The alarm arc is between 7:30 and 12:30. It's water resistant to 100 meters/300 feet, and the 15.2mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The automatic winding Jaeger LeCoultre caliber 918 movement is rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes decoration. It's constructed with 22 jewels, and a shock absorber mechanism. It has a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 6 positions. It includes a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a hacking seconds mechanism. Jaeger LeCoultre The first Master Compressor was introduced in 2002; it was a new design based on their Memovox Polaris of 1965. This advanced version debuted in 2007. It's been certified as a 1000-hour watch, put through the rigorous tests before leaving the workshop.
