This is a stainless steel Jaeger LeCoultre Master Control Chronograph, 1538420. It has an alligator leather strap with a stainless steel double deployment buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, angled bezel, rectangular chronograph pushbuttons, and downturned lugs are polished. It has a solid engraved Master Control case back, and the dial is silver with applied steel dart indexes and an Arabic numeral hour marker at 12 o'clock. The chronograph hands are blued steel, with a blued central seconds hand; the dauphine minute and hour hands are polished, and there is finely printed minute, seconds, fractions of seconds & Tachymeter scale on the outer rim, with a pulsometer chapter ring. There is a date aperture between 4 and 5 o'clock, a constant seconds subsidiary dial at 6 o'clock, a 30-minute sub dial at 3, and a 12-hour dial at 9 o'clock. It has a 65-hour power reserve, and it's water resistant to 50 meters/150 feet. The 13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical Automatic self-winding JLC Caliber 751a/1 movement Is rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with two barrels, 39 jewels, 277 components, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It has a monometallic balance that's adjusted for temperature and 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 hz), and like all Jaeger LeCoultre watches, it has passed the rigorous 1000-hour test before being certificated.
