Tudor Vintage "Home Plate" Chronograph MK1 SS RARE

This Tudor "Home Plate" is a genuine collector's grail: Tudor's very first chronograph, produced only briefly before being replaced, which makes it one of the rarest and most sought-after vintage Tudors of all. Its nickname comes from its distinctive dial — pentagonal, baseball-home-plate-shaped hour markers, paired with bright orange accents for unmistakably 1970s character. Powered by the manual-wind Valjoux calibre 7734, it drives a two-register chronograph with running seconds at nine o'clock and a 45-minute counter at three, plus a date at six. Much of its appeal lies in its construction: the watch uses a genuine Rolex Oyster case, signed by Rolex, with squared crown guards and screw-down pushers, and comes on a Rolex Oyster bracelet — lending it real robustness and pedigree. The steel case measures 39.2mm across and 13.8mm in thickness, substantial for a chronograph of its era. A black dial with home-plate markers gives it its bold, graphic identity.
