This is a stainless steel Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph, 5980/1A-001. It has an integral stainless steel bracelet with a double deployant clasp, and a scratch resistant anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The cushion-shaped 44mm by 38.5mm case, flat geometric bezel, and bracelet are polished/brushed. It has a screw-down crown, rectangular protected chronograph pushbuttons, and a transparent sapphire crystal display case back. The chronograph incorporates a fly back feature - the pusher activates it at 2 o'clock, and the reset/fly back is run by the pushbutton at 4 o'clock. The dial is blue-black with horizontal textured stripes, applied luminescent baton hour index markers, and luminescent Superluminova white gold baton hands with a sweep central chronograph/seconds hand. It has a 1/5 second and outer minute track, and a large instantaneous date window at the 3 o'clock position. The silver/blue Monocounter subsidiary dial for the combination 30-minute/60-minute and 12-hour totalizer is at 6 o'clock. The outermost 30 minutes are indicated via black minute markers, the second 60 minutes are indicated via an inner track of red minute markers, and an innermost dark circle registers the 12-hour increments. It's water resistant to 120 meters/400 feet, and there is a 55-hour power reserve at full wind. The 13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The automatic Patek Philippe caliber 28-520 C movement is rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 35 jewels, 327 components, a shock absorber mechanism, and it's stamped with the Seal of Geneva quality mark. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, and a patented Patek four-arm Gyromax balance with four inertia blocks that's adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions. There is a self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring, and a unidirectional 21K gold rotor with an oil-free ball bearing and zirconium balls.
