There are round chronograph push buttons, a pull out winding crown, and it has a solid screw-down case back engraved with a world-time mnemonic chart with 24 cities listed around the polished perimeter, and in the center is "SERIE SPECIAL 30M – BREITLING - A43030," and a scroll with "ECLIPSE MONTBRILLANT." The bidirectional revolving reeded bezel has a slide rule. The 41.5mm diameter solid three-body case, faceted lugs, bracelet, and concave cupped bezel are polished. The dial is silver with large green luminous Arabic numeral hour markers, blued leaf hands with luminous inserts, and a blued center sweep second chronograph hand with a needle tip and a pear-shaped counter balance. There is a black minute/one-fifth second scale, with an outermost slide-rule/telemeter scale on a silver ring that revolves with the bezel. There is a date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position, and there are 3 recessed guilloche silver subsidiary dials, including a running seconds register at 9 o'clock, a 30-minute chronograph totalizer at 12 o'clock, and a moon phase indicator is at 6 o'clock. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and there is a 42-hour power reserve at full wind. The 14.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Breitling Navitimer Montbrillant Eclipse A43030 has a Breitling caliber 43 (base Valjoux 7758) movement. It's rhodium-plated, and it's constructed with 25 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a micrometer regulator. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz). The Breitling Navitimer Montbrillant Eclipse A43030 was introduced in 1999, and it was produced until 2000.
