This is a stainless steel Vacheron Constantin Overseas 222. It has a stainless steel bracelet with a matching foldover deployant clasp. The 38mm diameter unibody case and notched stainless bezel are polished and brushed. The case is stamped with the Maltese Cross and the case back is engraved with the model name "222" and the serial number. The original winding crown is also signed with the Vacheron Constantin Maltese cross. The crystal is scratch resistant sapphire. The matte black dial has applied luminous hour index markers and stainless steel baton hands with luminous inserts. There is a date aperture at the 3 o'clock position and the 38mm case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Vacheron Constantin Overseas 222 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Vacheron Constantin caliber 12'''1121 movement that's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 36 jewels, and a shock absorber mechanism. It has a 21k gold rotor, a free-sprung Gyromax balance that's adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism and five positions, and a self-compensating Breguet balance spring.

The Vacheron Constantin Overseas 222 was introduced in 1977, released to celebrate Vacheron Constantin's 222nd anniversary. Produced for only 7 years, roughly 500 pieces total were made in all metal combinations (steel, gold/steel, gold) making this a rare and very desirable piece.
