More about Omega 145.022-69 ST Vintage Speedmaster Transitional c. 1969

This is a vintage 1969/1970 stainless steel Omega Speedmaster 145.022-69 ST. It has an integral stainless steel 1171 Omega Bracelet with 633 endlinks, and an acrylic crystal. It has a solid screw-down case back. It includes round chronograph pushbuttons and a screw-down winding crown protected by a crown guard. There is a black tachymeter to 500 UPH on the bezel. The 42mm diameter solid three-body case, integral lugs, and bracelet are polished/brushed. The original dial is black with baton hands and creamy hour marker indices, with all the tritium lume unaltered. There is an outer luminous white chronograph seconds track, and a steel central chronograph hand. It has three recessed black subsidiary dials, including a constant small seconds register at 9 o'clock, a 12-hour chronograph totalizer at 6 o'clock, and a 30-minute counter at the 3 o'clock position. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, it has a 48-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 14mm thick case, movement, and dial are all signed. This Omega Speedmaster 145.022-69 ST has a mechanical manual winding Omega caliber 861 movement that's copper-colored, with a shock absorber mechanism. It's constructed with 17 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance that's adjusted for temperature and 5 positions. It includes a self-compensating flat balance spring, and an index regulator.

The Omega Speedmaster 145.022-69 ST is in excellent condition, and was introduced in the 1960's.
