More about Zeitwerk Striking Time 145.025 Platinum LIMITED

This is a platinum A. Lange & Sohne Zeitwerk Striking Time 145.025. It has an alligator leather strap with a platinum tang buckle, scratch resistant sapphire crystals, and an exhibition sapphire crystal case back secured with 6 screws, engraved with "A. LANGE & SOHNE - GLASHUTTE S.A. – LIMITED NO.," and hallmarks. It includes a screw down signed winding crown at the 2 o'clock position, and a rectangular button on the right side of the case edge at 5 o'clock deactivates the chiming striking mechanism, which utilizes two polished stainless steel gongs that are located beneath the jumping minute and hour digital windows; they sound by striking the circumferential gongs suspended between the dial and the bezel, with a reverberant low-pitched tone on the hour, and a clear high-pitched tone at the quarter hours. The 44.2mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned lugs, and convex bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is silver with a railway-style 36-hour up-and-down power reserve at the 12 o'clock position, and a constant small seconds subsidiary dial at 6 o'clock, both with rhodium-plated white gold hands. The untreated German silver movement bridge projects through the dial, forming the hours, minutes & seconds displays. In a recessed, tapered rectangular aperture on the left is the jumping hour, and its twin on the right shows the jumping minutes. The dial is lowered to surround the bridge, greatly reducing the overall case thickness. Visible on the bridge is a large screw attaching it to the mainplate, and a sapphire jewel end-stone. The 13.1mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This A. Lange & Sohne Zeitwerk Striking Time 145.025 has a mechanical manual winding A. Lange & Sohne caliber L043.2 movement that's constructed with 78 jewels, 528 components, and a Rhodium plated German Silver Time Bridge. It includes the patented A. Lange & Sohne mainspring barrel, and constant-force escapement that produces the switching step for the jump hour and minute, as well as an almost constant level of torque to the balance for the entire 36-hour period. The rotor oscillates at 18,000 vph (3 Hz). This A. Lange & Sohne Zeitwerk Striking Time 145.025 is Lange & Sohne's in a limited edition of 100 examples, is their first digital-readout display watch where the hour & minute apertures line up horizontally in a natural reading format, displaying the time with a mechanically operated fully digital numeric readout. It was introduced in the 2000's.

Testimonials

I have been dealing with European Watch Company for over ten years, and have purchased several wrist watches, including IWC, Patek Philippe, Rolex, and Jaeger-LeCoultre. They were not only fairly priced but arrived in like-new condition, fully warranted by European Watch Company. This company has an attentive, knowledgeable staff, a large inventory, and is a genuine pleasure to deal with.

Just completed my 7th transaction with EWC and for the 7th time the transaction was smooth, flawless and quick. Joshua is quick to respond to any e-mails and answer any questions. Ashley knows how to complete the necessary paperwork to avoid any delays at Customs as I am located in Canada and all paperwork needs to be completed perfectly which she is an expert at. You only want to deal with the best and the team at EWC is the best. There is a Yiddish word to describe the people at EWC and that word is mensches which translates to people of integrity and honour.

After a lengthy search I located the Patek Philippe I desired at EWC, but the decision to make a high dollar purchase over the internet was a difficult one. Through numerous emails with Justin and looking at reviews of EWC I made the decision to proceed and I am now ECSTATIC. The watch is exactly as described and pictured. It was perfectly packaged and shipped FedEx overnight. My watch collection now includes the watch I have been seeking for over a year.In summary, you can deal with the EWC staff with confidence. They are professional, honest and you will receive a quality watch which will put a smile on your face.

I live in San Francisco but the EWC website is the first place I check once I get an impulse for a particular watch. EWC's website is cozy and feels like home. I enjoy the photos, presentation, description and historical notes of each item and really like their next day delivery, so I stay loyal to them. Sometimes I must wait awhile for a watch to become available but can usually find anything I want. Then there are the watches you never knew you wanted until you see them here.

Dear EWC, I have just completed my very first purchase with your company: a mint Lange Datograph. Robert was extremely help throughout the process with the item delivered nicely packed to my Hong Kong address within days. The condition of the watch was absolutely mint as described and has exceeded my expectations, even under a loupe! I will be a return customer in no time. Well done!
