Albert's Collection

Where you’re from:
Tehran, Iran. I have lived in the United States for nearly 50 years, 45 of which have been spent in the Boston area.
The first watch that moved you:
Omega Dynamis on blue strap and white and blue dial that I purchased in 1972.
Why:
This watch's revolutionary design, with its two-tone blue dial and elliptical case, was modern and unusual for the time. I bought it with my first paycheck as a draftsman while studying civil engineering and architecture.
Day-to-day:
As the president and founder of EWC, I provide executive leadership to execute company strategy. From always keeping an eye on finances to making sure our operations are flawless and providing a roadmap for the company to maintain our values of integrity, trust and honesty, I believe in fostering a positive work environment. The most important part of my job: to ensure every client is a friend.
Grail:
Seeing so many watches during my three decades in business means it’s difficult to choose a forever grail. But being a typical engineer, what interests me the most is workmanship, integrity of the company, minimal service, elegant and simple design. I always wanted a "Gilbert Albert" reference 3424 in white gold and white dial. I bought one in 2023. I also always wanted a Patek Philippe 1463 in steel, I bought a mint one in 2024. I am drawn to watches that showcase exceptional quality, integrity, and elegant design.
The world should know:
I collect art, especially original prints of M.C. Escher (did I mention I’m a typical engineer!), modern classic furniture, and I love to cook daily. In fact, we installed a new kitchen at EWC just so I could cook for the staff. I deeply enjoy it, and I know they appreciate it.
Bonus:
Although I own many extraordinary and unbelievable watches, I wear the same watch every day that is definitely my favorite, a Blancpain Tourbillon black dial with military numbers, serial number one.
