Osvaldas's Grail

Where you’re from:
Kaunas, Lithuania

The first watch that moved you:
Blancpain Fifty Fathoms MilSpec Limited

Why:
I'm a visual person and this edition from Blancpain is just visually striking with attention to detail that makes it a perfect blend between modern and vintage. The deep rich matte black dial and white hands makes a perfect contrast. That combined with the vintage-toned hour markers, a color pop on the moisture indicator and also a bubbly top hat style sapphire crystal just grabs the attention and pulls back in to check the time again and again.

Day-to-day:
As a product photographer for EWC, I love spending time with these watches every day. I have them to myself, even if it’s just for a few moments, and I can admire everything about them and then translate that through my images to the clients!

Grail:
Breguet La Tradition. It reminds me of open work dials from my favorite brand MB&F, but feels more wearable and is from the brand that has one of the longest history of watchmaking.

The world should know:
In my hometown people are even more crazy about basketball than here in Boston, so I feel quite at home here! In my free time I like rock climbing, cycling, traveling, camping, spending time in nature and, of course, capturing all that with my camera.

Bonus:
As far as I remember I was always wearing a watch. Since kindergarten. Interestingly enough, a Swiss-made watch was the first thing I bought with my first paycheck as an architect. It became such an important part of my attire that I feel incomplete without it.
