Overlooked is your weekly horological treasure hunt — where we dig through the vaults of European Watch Company to spotlight a few quietly brilliant pieces hiding in plain sight. It’s the sleeper hit, the underdog, the “wait, how is this still available?” watch you didn’t know you needed… until now.

Céad Míle Fáilte! It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day, a day when everyone finds time to celebrate their Irish heritage, be it by blood, by association, or simply a shared love of good craic. My Irish ancestors and I have searched high and low for some grand watch options for celebrating the holiday, so raise a glass of your favorite tipple and peruse these fine St. Paddy’s day selections.

Audemars Piguet 26393ST Code 11.59

The Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 has evolved since its launch in 2019 to span a range of options, with everything from a time-only option to complicated versions. (Read an in-depth guide to the Code 11.59 here.) This 26393ST Code 11.59 chronograph model, with a deep green textured dial and tonal green inner bezel, is a demonstration of this line at its best. It’s powered by the brand’s in-house automatic Calibre 4401, visible through the exhibition caseback, with both date and small seconds displays and a flyback chronograph. It also features the hallmarks of the Code 11.59 design, with its distinctive octagonal midcase and compound curved crystal, which is double glareproofed for even more crystal-clear legibility when reading the dial. Some say it’s not easy being green, but this sporty yet contemporary timepiece in its dark green hue will make it feel effortless.

Rolex 134300 Oyster Perpetual

The word ‘mint’ has many connotations, not least of which is the term for a pristine, unworn watch. Pair that definition with the shade of the dial on this 134300 Oyster Perpetual, and you have a truly minty vibe. The 41mm steel case showcases the lacquered green dial in all its green glory, while the white indices and hands offer a clean legibility. It’s equipped with Rolex’s in-house automatic caliber 3230 movement, with a 70-hour power reserve, shock resistance, and the brand’s patented high-efficiency Chronergy escapement. The steel Oyster bracelet offers great wearability and comfort for even the most rowdy of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Green Dial

For those who want a timepiece that can go seamlessly from the office to the pub for a proper pint of Guinness, look no further than this Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra. Its striking brushed green dial is punctuated by a date window at the 6 o’clock position, and its 38mm steel case and bracelet make it comfortable on many wrist sizes. Inside the case is Omega’s Master Chronometer Caliber 8800, which is METAS certified, demonstrating exceptional chronometer precision and magnetic resistance. And at 150 meters of water resistance, you’ll be well equipped to search for that leprechaun’s pot o’gold at the end of the rainbow.

Breitling AB011 Premier B01 Chronograph Bentley

Never fear the old adage about being pinched for not wearing green on St. Patrick’s Day with this abundantly green Breitling AB011 Chronograph. In a rich shade of British Racing Green throughout the dial and strap, it pays tribute to the racing heritage of legendary automaker Bentley. Its robust 42mm case lends it a strong wrist presence, and the in-house Caliber 01 automatic chronograph movement offers precise timekeeping. Its contrasting subsidiary dials and subtle date window offer functionality without sacrificing style.

Though all four of these together would make a delightful and very lucky clover, any one of them would be at home at the pub, at the St. Paddy’s day parade, or as a daily wearer. Sláinte!
