Red, White, and Blue: Five Watches for the Fourth of July
Published on 7/4/2026

July Fourth is here, and we thought it was a good excuse to look through current inventory for watches that fly the flag — not in any heavy-handed way, just pieces where red, white, and blue show up together and actually mean something. Five watches made it. Here they are!
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Annual Calendar, Ref. 25920ST.OO.0789ST.01
First up is a unique AP Royal Oak Annual Calendar. This reference is more interesting than it first looks. The blue dial is the obvious starting point, but the complications weave red and white together to create a beautiful display: a red pointer for the date, red alternating with blue on the white month indicator register, a red 31 marking the outer edge of the date track. White handles the rest of the indications: the indexes, the date and month functions, and the AP logo at 12. Red, white, and blue distributed across a functioning annual calendar to present something truly unique. The off-center display, with its lack of symmetry makes the watch a playful AP classic that flies under the radar.
Zenith Chronomaster Revival Cover Girl, Ref. 03.A3818.400/51.M3818
The Zenith Chronomaster Revival Cover Girl is one of the more visually striking pieces in Zenith's Revival lineup, and the color split is exactly what you'd want. A deep blue dial anchors the watch, a red chronograph seconds hand sweeps over it, and white takes the markers, sub-register hands, and date wheel. The "Cover Girl" name comes from the original ref. A3818's appearance on the cover of Manfred Rössler's landmark book Zenith: Swiss Watch Manufacture Since 1865, context that makes a limited reissue feel like genuine archival interest rather than a marketing exercise. The result is a watch that earns its colors without trying too hard. Only 100 pieces were made of this watch, and for lovers of chronograph history and design, this is a definitive addition to any collection.
F.P. Journe Centigraphe, Ref. CTS2/CT2
Journe's Centigraphe measures elapsed time in hundredths of a second rather than traditional chronograph fifths, and the movement architecture to support that is one of the most unique and rarely discussed in Journe's archive. The patriotic credentials are quieter but real: a blue main dial and matching bezel, white sub-registers, and red for the chronograph scales and hands. The platinum case is worth noting because Journe uses it selectively in the sport line, and it changes how the watch reads on the wrist, cooler and heavier than steel, with a matte finish that doesn't shout. The Centigraphe is one of the most unique watches Journe makes, and in its sport execution, it stands out from the crowd as a future classic.
Rolex GMT-Master II "Pepsi," Ref. 126710BLRO
The Pepsi bezel is the most iconic entry in this list. The red and blue ceramic bezel against the steel case and black dial is the watch industry's most recognizable two-tone color combination, and the red GMT hand sweeping over it completes the picture. This is a modern example with the Jubilee bracelet, the updated case finishing, and full paperwork. The Pepsi has been produced in various forms for decades as one of the most iconic Rolex models ever made, initially produced for Pan American World Airways. Some watches earn their reputation and the GMT Master Pepsi certainly is one. Wear this for the fourth and you'll be sure to get many compliments!

H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Flyback Chronograph, Ref. 6902-1201
Moser's Streamliner line is defined by its unique integrated bracelets and its fumé dials: the gradient finish that shifts from a rich center color to a lighter edge or the reverse. On this piece, that means a blue fumé dial doing most of the visual work, with a red chronograph hand as an accent color and white for the handset and chronograph scales. The flyback function lets you reset the chronograph without the stop-restart sequence, a practical distinction in a watch that's otherwise about restraint and aesthetics. Moser continues to climb as an independent that is truly doing unique things in the world of design and dial. The Streamliner is likely the most recognizable of the brand's collections.

Conclusion
So there you have it: five watches, five different readings of the same three colors. Red, white, and blue can live in a bezel, a chronograph hand, a complication display, or a fumé gradient, and the range here is a reminder that a color combination can transform the way your watches look and wear. Happy Fourth of July from everyone at European Watch Company!
