This is a .950 platinum Cartier Santos Dumont Ultra-Thin 1575. It includes the original unworn blue alligator leather strap with an 18k white gold deployment buckle and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a fluted pull-out winding crown set with a sapphire cabochon, four case band screws (two on each side), and a snap down solid case back engraved with "CARTIER – MECANIQUE – SWISS MADE – PLATINE – 1575," the edition number of 1997 examples, hallmarks, and a serial number. The 27mm by 36mm (including lugs) solid square two-body case, straight screwed lugs, and flat bezel with 8 face screws, are polished/brushed. It has the rare salmon-colored sunray guilloche dial with black Roman numeral hour markers (with the "secret" Cartier signature in the VII, surrounded by a perimeter black railway-style minute/hour scale. It includes blued Cartier dauphine sword hour and minute hands. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, it has a 42-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 4.3mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Cartier Cartier Santos Dumont Ultra-Thin 1575 has a mechanical manual winding ultra-thin Cartier caliber O21 MC (based on the Frederic Piguet 21) movement. It's rhodium plated and it's constructed with 18 jewels, a monometallic balance, a shock absorber system, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz).
