The caliber 558 runs a one-minute tourbillon at six o'clock carrying the running seconds, its plate hand-engraved in a manner that varies from example to example, while the hours and minutes sit in a recessed off-centered sub-dial above. The platinum case measures 39mm across and 10.4mm thick, modest in diameter and dense on the wrist in the way platinum always is. The silvered gold dial is engine-turned by hand and finished with Breguet numerals, blued hands, and the double secret signature between the numerals. Built only across a short mid-decade run and long discontinued, it is a tourbillon carrying the authorship no other maker can claim.
