More about Centigraphe Souverain Platinum Bracelet Salmon Dial RARE

This is an incredibly rare .950 platinum FP Journe Centigraphe Souverain with salmon dial. It has a matching platinum bracelet with a double deployant clasp. The solid two-body case, downturned lugs, and rounded bezel are polished, as is the lever at 2 o'clock, and the winding crown. It has a sapphire crystal lens and exhibition back secured with 6 screws. There is a foudroyante display at 10 o'clock, and the chronograph is capable of timing 1/100th second intervals (or an object moving 360,000 km/hour), while the lever starts/stops, and resets the chronograph. The dial is salmon with blued Journe hands and black painted radial Arabic numeral index markers. A trio of white guilloche subsidiary displays includes the 1-second aperture at 10 o'clock, the 20-second at 2 o'clock, and the 10-minute at 6. Each has a time scale and a tachymeter in black. It has an 80-hour power reserve at full wind without engaging the chronograph, and 24-hours with the chronograph running. The dial, case, movement, and bracelet are all signed. The manual winding F.P. Journe caliber 1506 movement is gold with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 49 jewels, 259 components, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic 4-arm balance with 4 timing weights that are adjusted to 5 positions, and an anachron self-compensating free-sprung flat balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at 21,600 vph. (3 Hz). F.P. Journe received the “Aiguille d’Or” at the 2008 Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix for the Centigraphe Souverain, as well as the “Watch of the Year” on Timezone.com. In 2009 it won the “Best Technique Innovation Watch” at the Champions of Time competition in China.
