This is an 18K rose gold FP. Journe Octa Automatique Reserve 38mm. It includes a leather strap with a signed rose gold tang buckle and scratch resistant sapphire crystals. It has an exhibition sapphire display crystal case back secured with 6 screws and it's engraved with "FP. JOURNE- INV.FECIT – AU750 – OCTA AUTO," and a serial number. The rare 38mm diameter solid two-body case, rounded bezel, and downturned lugs are polished. Turning the pull-out winding crown with a "Cordes de Marseille" grip in opposite directions at position 2 sets the date, and the time is set in position 3. The dial is silver with a Guilloche clous de Paris design in the center, painted black varying size Arabic numeral hour markers, blued steel Journe sword hour and minute hands, and a black railway-style perimeter minute/hour scale on a plain silver reserve. It has an offset constant running small seconds circular subsidiary dial between 4 and 5 o'clock with a blued "observatoire" style indicator hand, a rectangular date aperture window between 11 and 12 o'clock, and there is a fan-shaped recessed silver power reserve dial with a blued Journe indicator hand at 9 o'clock. It has a 120-hour/5-day power reserve at full wind, and it's water resistant to 30 meters/100feet. It includes a Certified Official Swiss Chronometer (COSC) certificate, and the 10.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This FP. Journe Octa Automatique Reserve 38mm has a mechanical automatic self-winding FP Journe caliber 1300.3 that's 18K rose gold with fausses cotes embellishment. It's decorated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment, a partly circular grained baseplate, gilt engravings, polished screw heads with chamfered slots, and pegs with polish rounded ends. It's constructed with 37 jewels, 293 components, and a shock absorber mechanism. It has uni-directional automatic winding, an in-line lever escapement with a 15-tooth wheel, a balance with 4 inertia weights adjusted to 5 positions, a flat Anachron microflamed spring, a mobile stud holder, a self-compensating free-sprung balance, a pinned GE stud, and a three-position crown slipping mainspring. There is a bi-directional 22K signed off-center gold "barleycorn" guilloche rotor with a winding speed of 274 clockwise revolutions every 24 hours without mainspring slipping. The movement is engraved "Exclusive Power Reserve System" and "Precision Chronometer." The rotor oscillates with a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz). The FP. Journe Octa Automatique Reserve 38mm was released in 2020. In 2001 FP. Journe debuted the first automatic movement caliber from the Octa collection that guaranteed five days of precision timekeeping when unworn.
