More about Ingenieur Chronograph Edition "W 125" White Dial / SS

This is a stainless steel IWC Ingenieur IW323902. It has an integral stainless steel bracelet. The solid three-body case is polished and brushed with a protected screwed-down winding crown and case back. It has a soft iron inner case to protect the mechanism from magnetic fields, and a flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The dial is black with applied luminescent rhodium-plated and faceted baton index hour markers, and luminous baton hands, with luminous dot hour markers and an outer minute/seconds track. There is a central sweep hand with hacking seconds and a date display with a crown-activated rapid advance function. It's water resistant to 120 meters (12 bar), and it has a 42-hour power reserve when fully wound. It has a COSC certification (Certified Official Swiss Chronometer), and the case diameter is 40 mm. The case, dial, and movement are all signed. The IWC automatic winding caliber 30110 movement is rhodium-plated. It's constructed with 21 jewels and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The first Ingenieur automatic winding watch debuted in 1955. The five functional bores in the bezel that fix it in position were created by master watch designer Gérald Genta, for the Ingenieur SL, which was introduced in 1976. They are the hallmarks of the Ingenieur collection.
