This is a Titanium IWC Big Pilot's Heritage 55 5104-01. It has a calfskin leather strap with an IWC Titanium tang buckle, and a convex scratch resistant sapphire crystal with antireflective coatings on both sides, that's secured against displacement by drops in air pressure. There is a screw-down diamond-shaped winding crown, and a solid case back secured with 4 screws, and engraved with "INTERNATIONAL WATCH CO. – BIG PILOT'S HERITAGE 55 – 6 BAR," and an edition number. There is a soft-iron inner case for protection against magnetic fields, and the 55mm diameter two-body solid case, curved lugs, and angled faceted bezel are satin/brushed. The dial is black with luminous Arabic numeral hour markers and baton indices, around a perimeter hour/minute scale, with an aero-triangle at 12 o'clock. It has blued steel luminous "Spitfire" hands, and there is a running small seconds subsidiary dial at 6 o'clock. It has a 46-hour power reserve at full wind, and it's water resistant to 60 meters/196 feet. The 13.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This IWC Big Pilot's Heritage 55 5104-01 has a mechanical manual winding IWC caliber 98300 movement. It's made from embellished three-quarter plate of nickel silver with Cotes de Geneve embellishment, and an elongated index for precision adjustment of the self-compensating Breguet balance spring. It's constructed with 18 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line liver escapement. It has a large screw balance and a self-compensating Breguet balance spring, a hacking seconds device for precision time setting, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18.000 vph (2.5 Hz). The IWC Big Pilot's Heritage 55 5104-01 was introduced in 2016 at the SIHH exhibition, in a limited to an edition of 100 examples. This watch is a grandson of the IWC Big Pilot's watch of 1936; however, it's made from Titanium, and weighs less than 150 grams.
