More about Polaris Date 42mm SS

This is a stainless-steel Jaeger LeCoultre Polaris Date Q9068670. It includes a blue rubber strap with a stainless-steel deployment buckle and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a screw down signed winding crown at 4 o'clock, an inner rotating timing bezel activated by the crown at 2 o'clock, and there is an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 4 screws, and engraved with "JAEGER-LECOULTRE – 1000 HOURS CONTROL – SWISS MADE – 20 BAR," and a serial number. The 42mm diameter "oyster" shaped two-body solid case, gently curved lugs, and stepped rounded bezel, are polished/brushed. It has a three-tiered black grained dial with a sunburst finish in the center and a black grained outer reserve with luminous vintage dart hour markers, luminous Arabic numerals at the quarter hours, recto steel pointed Bâton à facette luminous hour and minute hands, and a center sweep seconds hand. The perimeter rotating inner bezel is black with white luminous dots, Arabic numerals on the quarter hours, and a luminous white triangle at the 60-minute position. It has a 40-hour power reserve at full winding, it's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, and the 13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Jaeger LeCoultre Polaris Date Q9068670 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 899A/1 movement. It's rhodium plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment and it's constructed with 32 jewels, 219 components, a single barrel, blued screws, and a 22k gold oscillating weight. It includes a central hacking device for precision time setting, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The Jaeger LeCoultre Polaris Date Q9068670 was introduced at SIHH in 2018 as part of the new Polaris collection, inspired by the original 1968 Polaris dive watch.
