More about Speedmaster Yellow Gold / Bracelet Black Dial RARE

This is an 18K yellow gold Omega Speedmaster 3195.50.00. It's modeled after the "First Watch Worn on the Moon," and it includes an Omega 840 18k yellow gold bracelet with a folding deployment clasp and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. It has a signed screw down winding crown, round chronograph push buttons, and there is a solid screw down case back engraved with the hippocampus and "SPEEDMASTER," with the Omega symbol in high relief in a center medallion, and "FLIGHT-QUALIFIED BY NASA FOR ALL MANNED SPACE MISSIONS – THE FIRST WATCH WORN ON THE MOON." The 42mm diameter barrel-shaped three-body solid case, gently curved lugs, bracelet, and flat fixed black ceramic bezel with a gold tachymeter scale to 500 UPH, are polished/brushed. The dial is grained matte black with pointed gold baton hour and minute hands with luminous inserts, a gold center sweep second hand with a luminous arrow tip, and applied gold baton hour markers with luminous end pips surrounded by a gold perimeter 1/5 second/minute chapter ring. It includes recessed guilloche "pie tin" subsidiary dials with gold Arabic numerals, markers, and indicator hands including a small constant running seconds register at 9 o'clock, a 12-hour chronograph totalizer at 6 o'clock, and there is a 30-minute chronograph counter at the 3 o'clock position. It's water resistant to 50 meters/165 feet, it has a 48-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 14.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Omega Speedmaster 3195.50.00 has a mechanical manual winding Omega caliber 1863 (based on the Omega caliber 1861) chronograph movement – a luxury version of the same movement that was used on the Moon. It's rhodium-plated, and the baseplate has circular graining. The bridges have Cotes de Geneve embellishment with the edges of the levers and bridges polished. It's constructed with 18 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and an index regulator. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz). The Omega Speedmaster 3195.50.00 was introduced in 1999 and it was produced until 2014.
