The watch was purchased from the descendent of the original owner.

This is a vintage 1957 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe Calatrava 2555. It has an alligator leather strap with a matching 18k yellow gold buckle, and an acrylic crystal. The oversize 32mm diameter solid three-body case, curved stepped down lugs, screw-down case back, The dial is silver with applied gold faceted baton hour markers, gold dauphine hands, a center sweep seconds hand, and an outer minute/second ring. This Patek Philippe Calatrava 2555 has a mechanical manual winding Patek Philippe caliber 27SC movement that's rhodium-plated, with fausses-côtes embellishment. It's stamped with the quality Mark of Geneva, and it's constructed with 18 jewels, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, a self-compensating Breguet balance-spring, and a micrometer regulator.
