More about UR-100 SpaceTime Gunmetal LIMITED TO 25 PIECES

This is a titanium and stainless-steel Urwerk Space Time Gunmetal UR-100. It includes a carbon-fiber strap with a PVD coated titanium tang buckle and scratch resistant sapphire crystals (domed on the dial). It has a pull out winding crown at the top of the case at 12 o'clock, knurled case band sections, and there is an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 4 screws and it's engraved with "TIGA14V/316L – SWISS MADE – LIMITED EDITION 25 PCS," and a serial number. The 41mm by 49.7mm barrel-shaped solid three-body case, straight lugs, and flat bezel have a PVD Gun Metal finish. The dial is skeletonized with matte grey and gun metal bridges and besides showing the time this special astronomical watch exhibits the number of kilometers the Earth has rotated each day at the equator, created by French clockmaker Gustave Sandoz with a pendulum that beats once every 2.16 seconds – equal to a distance of rotation of 500 meters. There are three different hour discs on a central carrier that rotate clockwise across a black arc with luminous green Super LumiNova Arabic numerals and markers at the lower half of the dial with the minutes indicated by a red arrow with a white luminous inset acting as a minute hand. The active hour is indicated with a red pointer. There are two sectors in the upper half of the dial with an orbital satellite display with wandering hours and minutes; the left-side arch between 9 and 10 o'clock shows the number of kilometers that the Earth has rotated at the equator over a 20-minute period up to a total of 555 kilometers. The arch on the right side between 2 and 3 o'clock shows how many kilometers that the Earth has traveled along its orbit for a total of 35,740k every 20-minutes. It has a 48-hour power reserve at full winding, it's water resistant and pressure tested to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 14mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Urwerk Space Time Gunmetal UR-100 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Urwerk caliber UR-12.01 movement. It has a "Windfanger" airscrew that resembles a propeller that regulates the rotor reducing shock. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz). The Urwerk Space Time Gunmetal UR-100 was introduced in 2019 in an edition limited to only 25 examples world-wide that's completely sold out.
